Dual-mode phones to use multimedia subsystem
Wistron NeWeb Corp will use Sasken's multimedia subsystem solutions in its next generation dual-mode (GSM+Wi-Fi) phones.
Wistron NeWeb Corp (WNC) has acquired the licence to adopt Sasken's multimedia subsystem solutions in its next generation dual-mode (GSM+Wi-Fi) phones.
Wistron NeWeb Corp (WNC), a leading Taiwanese original device manufacturer (ODM), will use the TI OMAPTM processor platform and Monta Vista Linux Operating System for a series of feature-rich dual-mode phones due for release in early 2007.
Sasken's multimedia subsystem solution is a pre-integrated solution containing all of the codecs, engines and applications, such as Media Player and Media Capture providing Wistron NeWeb Corp (WNC) with a single source solution for its next generation multimedia rich phones.
The architecture of the Sasken's multimedia subsystem solution allows for easy scalability to next generation high end multimedia applications and enables a rich multimedia experience for the users.
Sasken will additionally provide integration support to Wistron NeWeb Corp (WNC) for the subsystem.
