Portwell launches PQ7-M103XL Qseven module
Portwell Technology has launched the PQ7-M103XL, a Qseven open-standard module that offers a compact footprint and energy saving technology.
The PQ7-M103XL Qseven module, with its companion PQ7-C100XL 3.5in ESB form-factor developer carrier board, is said to be ideal for low-power, wide-temperature and fanless devices such as medical, industrial control, gaming and COTS military.
The module is based on the open-standard Qseven form factor featuring ultra-low power and compact size at 70 x 70mm.
Built with Intel's Atom Z510PT (1.1GHz) or Z520PT (1.33GHz) processor and Intel System Controller Hub (SCH) US15WPT, Portwell's PQ7-M103XL Qseven module is capable of operating in an industrial temperature range of -40C to 85C.
The module supports two Sata ports and up to three PCI-E x1 lanes, dual independent display via LVDS and SVDO, onboard 512MB or 1GB DDR2 SDRAM, an onboard NAND Flash with 1GB flash and optional upgrade to 8GB, and industrial grade Gigabit Ethernet.
Portwell's PQ7-M103XL Qseven module computing solution is said to safeguard development investments and lower total cost of ownership.
The company said it can also help minimise current and future design risks.
It can help development time and costs during initial phase of development, while helping to achieve a faster time to market, a simplified future upgrade path, scalability and an increased application lifecycle.
In addition, Portwell can also provide services to customers on the carrier board design and development, review schematics and BIOS customisation.
Designed as a Qseven developer carrier board for PQ7-M103XL, this 3.5in ESB form-factor embedded system board also supports an industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C.
PQ7-C100XL features one VGA port and one LVDS for dual independent display, one Gigabit Ethernet port, two Sata ports, seven USB ports, onboard 12V DC-to-DC circuit for DC-in applications, and an expansion capacity that includes one SDIO socket, one PCI, one PCI-E x1 and one mini-PCI Express.
