Infineon Technologies and NewLogic Technologies have signed a multitechnology portfolio crosslicensing and royalty agreement on wireless LAN intellectual property. Under the terms of the agreement, Infineon will incorporate NewLogic's wireless LAN IP, including IEEE 802.11a and 802.11b cores and software, into products targeting various application sectors in the wireless space. Infineon's advanced IEEE 802.11a signal processing technology becomes part of NewLogic's wireless LAN IP product line.
"This agreement will extend and elevate our long-standing relationship with NewLogic", said Ulrich Hamann, Chief Executive Officer of Infineon's Wireless Solutions Group.
