ARC's award is one of four from Cadence
EDA giant Cadence Design Systems has recognised ARC with a Collaborations Award for Excellence in Joint Marketing at a recent executive event
The award was one of four given by Cadence to their worldwide network of over 200 design chain partners. It specifically recognised ARC's leadership in areas such as driving proactive and innovative marketing campaigns, risk taking, and achieving industry-wide recognition. Additionally ARC has joined the Power Forward Initiative (PFI) - an industry group addressing obstacles to low-power IC design facing the electronics industry.
'Throughout 2006, Cadence and ARC received a high level of interest from designers worldwide who want to leverage our jointly optimised technologies to lower the power consumption of SoCs incorporating ARC's configurable subsystems and processors', said Jan Willis, Senior Vice President of Industry Alliances at Cadence.
'The overwhelming industry response supports our strategy of offering a comprehensive solution to customers and we welcome ARC to the Power Forward Initiative'.
'We are extremely pleased to have been recognised by one of our closest partners for the effectiveness of our joint R and D and outbound marketing campaigns over the past year', said Derek Meyer, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ARC.
'Cadence uniquely understands the design challenges faced by SoC designers, and has engaged with ARC to build and deploy efficient design flows and collaborate in industry-wide initiatives such as Power Forward'.
'We look forward in 2007 to continuing this best-in-class relationship and bringing more optimised solutions to our joint customers globally'.
