We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "ASIC market", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Flash-based FPGAs put freeze on power consumption from Actel Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "Flash-based FPGA family consumes 4x less static power than its nearest competitor and delivers more than 5x the battery life of the current leading PLDs in portable applications". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Standard cell ASICs set to exploit market void from AMI Semiconductor: "A flexible 130nm standard cell technology offers a low-cost high-performance ASIC solution for broad-based applications".

In May 2005, we covered the news from eASIC Corp concerning its Easy eFlow - take a look at Tools speed the way to structured ASIC silicon which says: "eASIC Corp, Magma Design Automation and Flextronics Semiconductor have combined to release the complete Easy eFlow tools suite for the FlexASIC product family".

Take a look also at the news release from Synplicity, FPGA software supports switch to structured ASICs, as well as Platform ASICs to gain physical synthesis from Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe, and Alliance to target Chinese ASIC market from ChipX.
